Meditation becomes easier when the mind can be seen inclining to the wrong. When the mind takes refuge in the external – events, external perceptions, people, tasks, livelihood, praise and blame from others, measuring and comparing.
This restlessness hindrance – can be seen and caught.
Then one can choose or the mind may naturally incline to the present and the meditation object.
For taking refuge within and in the moment – is less prone to flux and impermanence. One can attain peace, calm and stillness inclining and taking refuge in the present.
Mindfulness can only exist in the present moment. That is meditation becomes simple when one inclines to the present.
